Apparently Braiins already has a second version of the BMM 100 available for preorder, the BMM 101.
This updated model is listed as having:
  1. WiFi support
  2. a larger display
  3. And enhanced cooling
Presumably that means the hash rate is equivalent to the original version.
IMO, $100USD (50%) more than the original model for the listed enhancements seems a bit steep, but who knows.
Any stackers signed up to get one?

Was torn between that and one of those Bitaxe Max's.
The thing looks sleek, but those Bitaxe plebs might have more interesting stuff coming down the pipeline.

Even prebuilt bitaxes are cheaper, but those don’t have screens. Not sure about the hash rate but I prefer it being open source when buying something as niche as a mini miner

I’m just a nerd and find all of them fascinating

Pretty bad IMO that the webpage does not even give the mining capacity and power consumption of the device or is that too much to ask?

Exactly
That was what I was looking for. Having no info is a bit suspect

Not sus, just likely they haven’t finalised it yet. Power consumption certainly they won’t know until they finalise their designs

And yet they have set their price already and are taking orders...definitely not a good look. How can people assess whether they want to buy a miner at whatever price without basic performance data? How can they reasonably compare with other products to make an informed decision to buy? They can't! Treat consumers with some basic respect. Provide all relevant technical data BEFORE asking people to commit to purchase.

Agreed 100%.

hows the sound one of these produces, anyone used one?
reply
None have been sold yet- they are not even finalised in final appearance. Manufacturer is not even providing basic performance data.
Just expecting people to buy on blind faith. Do not trust- verify!

I assume it’s pretty similar to the 100 model, aside from the listed enhancements. But I agree, more details should be provided given they’re accepting orders
reply
It looks like a new product, I think it's easier to use and maybe the configuration is less complicated.

Is this for "lottery mining" or would you use it in a pool?
reply
You could use it for either. I think most people probably agree that it wouldn't produce very much in a pool, so you're better off lottery mining with a chance to win big.

I ordered one with 20% off. I gift to myself for Christmas 🎅🏽

Nice! Promo code?

Yep

If you don’t mind my asking, where/how did you get a promo code?
