In this photographs, I focused on capturing the diversity of vehicles that circulate through the city in the rain, highlighting their unique beauty.
And it is that when it is raining, the cars raise water when passing through the puddles, and that is precisely what looks super interesting in photos.
The "sparks" of water that jump as the cars pass by generate an electrifying sense of movement. The streets, which are often perceived as static, are filled with life and rhythm, defying the idea of a "desolate" or "empty" city.
Something that I also like about these photos is that they look full of cars and movement. Many people have the false belief that Venezuela is desolate, empty and sad.
The truth is that there are still many people here fighting to improve day by day.
Of course, Venezuela often feels "frozen" in time, since it stayed there in the 2000-2010s, and that is felt much more when you see the types of cars that circulate through the city. Most are already a bit old and very few new cars are seen.
Even public transportation feels "vintage".
But every now and then you find a gem like these: very new cars, most with Colombian plates, that have been imported into the country.
I hope you liked these photos as much as I did, thanks for stopping by!
