isn't randomness the 'murky waters of chaos'? I'm lost a little. And you were surprised by the random because you found that it was indeed random?

Like many things in life there are degrees of randomness and yes I was surprised at how random random was. Which means it is probably achieving the intended goal but maybe isn't a great UX.
