I still cheer for the Blackhawks, hopefully this rebuild is over sooner rather than later, and if the Islanders are on I will cheer for them. I was hopeful that when Arizona had to relocate they would to Houston to give us a team. The Houston Rockets owner is hellbent on getting us a team and it would be great for the league because the rivalry with Dallas is already there not to mention the number of energy companies from Europe and Canada that have locations there.... During the NHL - WHL merger Houston was supposed to join the NHL but the commish at the time decided not to because he didn't think a warm climate would attract hockey fans even though the Houston Aeros lead the WHL in attendance and could put up to 20k people in seats!
Lol I hate the Caps so much... except Tom Wilson... he might be dirty but ya know he accepts what he dishes out. I actually hate "the great 8" because he is a Putin fan boy. I find it embarrassing he plays for the US Capitol Team tbh...

Houston does seem like a logical spot for expansion or relocation considering the size of the market, the imbedded rivalry with Dallas, an existing arena and an experienced ownership group. A lot of the non traditional hockey markets are doing well right now. Dallas draws a big fanbase. Both Florida teams draw well. Vegas is doing well. I definitely could see them going to Houston at some point.

In 2000 I think it was Houston made it to the final 2 for the expansion team that became the Columbus Blue Jackets... At the time Gary Bettman talked about how Houston wasn't a good market and all this tbh piss poor excuses. When it came to Arizona relocating you gotta love this.... Tilman Fertitta wasn't allowed to bid because they want Houston to be an expansion city.... but they are not actively pursuing expansion at this time... like what???

Yeah, they want those expansion dollars. Too bad but I am sure it will happen eventually. Houston is too big a market to not have a team.

exactly... at the end of the day money talks and if they don't expand the next team to fall into some sort of disarray will end up in Houston
