All these politicians need a lesson on input costs. It's no surprise that people who have never had to produce anything in their lives don't comprehend the hundreds, if not thousands of inputs that go into the products on store shelves. It's always amazing to me how little, lets call them "coastal elites", understand about food production, energy production, manufacture of goods, logistics and transport etc. It's like they think the food in the grocery store just magically appears.
A shocking number of people really do believe that food comes from the store, electricity from the wall, and water from the tap.
