NWSL is the sixth largest US sports league by revenue (ahead of the WNBA, although no one's measured since Caitlin Clark joined), and it'll be interesting to see what happens. Of course, in soccer the teams are competing against international teams a lot more than they are in some other sports, but the notion of an actual bidding war for a brand new player out of college is intriguing.
Definitely worth keeping an eye on how it works out.

Surprised to see women's soccer news here. Been following the USWNT since 1999 World Cup and the first US women's pro league, the WUSA.

The women’s football has improved significantly over the years, I would say. The players are very professional, technically well trained, and what I like most, female players almost don’t dive, don’t argue with the refs over every little thing. The olympic tournament was fun to watch, for example. And I do remember the times when my eyes hurt while watching 🙂
