Runes I will never get... It's like paying many dollars worth in fees... to move or 'buy' nickels worth of bitcoin. Buy a 'rune' (which is just a utxo with an Op_return transaction somewhere) for like 15-20$ and only receive... 20 cents worth of bitcoin.

Why not just buy the 20$ worth of bitcoin? I don't get it
