If the “ on earth “ internet/comms infrastructure got wiped out due to war/sabotage/natural disaster &/or not upgraded over time due to costs but starlink was uninterrupted , does that cede the entire internet to musk? Is this the biggest 51% attack vector in the future? Is our ethos of being sovereign and decentralise all the things mean we need to look at sovereign communication hardware?
There are other satellite internet services, but Starlink would certainly have an outsized control of that market for who knows how long.

Seems like musks investment is only going to grow. Nothing against Starlink other than reliance on only one provider

Other companies are also going to increase their investments. There are a handful of other companies that plan to implement their own networks in the next decade.

Used Starlink for the first time on Hawaiian airlines... what a game changer compared to prior flight wifi.

The airline offered Starlink? Is Starlink secure?
edit: never mind Hawaiian Airlines has partnered with SpaceX to offer free Starlink Wi-Fi service to passengers on its flights, starting as early as next year. This marks the first major airline deal for Starlink.

My brother decided to get starlink for our outdoor security cameras. The cable modem would stop working after 9 months.
Many rural areas rely on starlink for high speed internet
