Ah, shoot. Misread this last night and the September 1st date stuck, so I was setting a reminder to revisit this when home. I am traveling/camping this week in many places without reception, so my participation won't be easy. I'll sit this one out but gonna add 2k to the pot for everyone. I also don't know much about contemporary music :) but want to support activity here in SN.

I think you should and you can participate.
  • First it won't require you to show up here again and again. The Billboard chart updates weekly and if required you can edit your entry anytime.
  • Secondly, it doesn't require any expertise to contemporary music. Rather, if you look closely to the game rules, it requires your chart reading analytical skills. I would suggest you to think it like sports pool where you just have to predict which players gonna score the most goals or runs. For example, a song running for many weeks does not have the same probability of moving up the charts as does a new song in its first or second week. So it's a fair game for everyone.
  • Thirdly, the main/official Music pool will start from September 1, this is just a trial pool. I intend to inform about music pool and rules before we begin officialy.
The official pool will require you enter only once. It won't ask your regular participation. So, I think you should participate.

Ok, I'm about to be out in open ocean for the next 4-6 hours. I'll enter by randomly choosing numbers. I'll go with whatever songs are at 24 and 67 currently :) hope this qualifies as a valid entry!
