How is a militia evidence for the president being a dictator?
How do you expect a country to hold elections during having territory occupied and citizens dispersed through other countries in Europe? This is pretty normal. Britain skipped a real election in 1940 too.
Zelensky was democratically elected in 2019 and there will be elections after the war.
On the other hand Putin holding onto power for the last decades is very sus. With the voting results looking like this (financial times):
You can't just assert as fact what will happen in the future. What we know right now is that elections have been suspended (not democratic) and political opposition has been banned (not democratic). It's fine with me if that doesn't meet your threshold for dictatorial behavior, but that's where I'm coming from.
I never said having a militia makes one a dictator. If they are not part of the Ukrainian military then I simply misunderstood the organizational structure.
I'm not sure why you're even mentioning Putin. I didn't say anything about him.
