I have been falling down the rabbit hole almost for a year now. I am still learning and consider myself a beginner with very basic knowledge. SN is helping me to keep on learning about it. Since I came across Bitcoin, I have tried to mention to my family with very little success.
Some of them pay attention, consider the information but they do not take action. Some of my friends think that I have been scammed and I am losing money. Others look at me and start talking about crypto and how risky it is. Good for them!
Recently, one of my daughters has gone to Granada with some friends and sent me some pictures at the Alhambra, an arab palace from the 13th century, situated in the hills of the city.
It is a remarkable building which can be visited, and it is worth to spend some time if you are visiting the south of Spain.
She is quite reluctant to understand Bitcoin and the advantages that may give her. I have thought that the best way to introduce her is through SN. After she sent me the photos, I mentioned her I would post them and give her half of sats. So, she will have to get a wallet to receive them and hopefully her way in bitcoin is ready to start. https://m.stacker.news/48189
Great idea. I was talking to @siggy47 and @k00b about this. I think marketing SN via reposting other people's work and then offering them the sats the posts earn is a no brainer.
You should give her all the sats though.
reply
Good point! Will do and give her the surprise!
reply
Hopefully she doesn't expect 10k sats on every SN post. Haha.
reply
Haha, I will make sure that she understands it. I need to teach her in V4V.
reply
Good luck with your daughter! Mine still remains uninterested. I visited the Alhambra on a trip to Spain thirty years ago. Unforgettable! Your daughter took some nice photos. Certainly worth a few sats.
reply
Thanks! I will try to hook her. First with this post , then helping with the wallet and finally showing what she can do. I have the idea that it has to be quite simple, so that she sees how useful it can be. Also she is going to love memes. I will keep you posted.

we all try to orange pill people in our first year without success
by the second year, you’ll realise when the student is ready to learn, the teacher (you) will appear lol
reply
I understand that it’s difficult to convince but I will leave her to convince herself. If not, will do as you mentioned, wait until they come around asking..

If there's one thing young women don't give a fuck about, it's ought to be Bitcoin; it's an intricate and complex new technology that has to do with saving, finances and risk, topics young women will gladly stay far, far away from.
reply
It’s interesting your point of view. Actually , she is commencing an engineering degree at the university in September. She loves complex issues.
reply
Well, in that case I'd get her hooked on Bitcoin's technical side, if that gets her interest, the rest will follow.

Great photos! And good luck with the orange pilling. I think Bitcoin is something that you really understand when you need to.
I'd also recommend getting a self-custodial lightning wallet. Breez is a good one to get started with. SN wallet is good for small amounts too.
reply
Thanks! I will try with the simplest at this stage (WoS) then we’ll try other self-custodial as you mentioned. Not in a hurry, just gradually to get in.

https://m.stacker.news/48209 This is somewhere in Granada, if someone tells me where with some proof, I'll send 21.000 SATs.
reply
Just sent the pic to her! Let’s see what happens

I made the se with my friend when he decided to buy more sats. Read here #402036 I wrote his story here and sent him all of the sats people zapped to posts about him

It is cool to post her photos here and send her half of the sats. I hope this helps her in the process of orange pilling.
reply
It’s only part of the plan. If I manage to get her interested in it, other steps will follow. From easy to higher difficulty.

I recently wrote this post #656614 and I can tell you - if your daughter or rest of your family likes the monopoly game, this is the perfect tool to introduce to bitcoin and show how it works. + They can keep all the sats =))
reply
Oh, right, you saw it already, I'm bad with names)
reply
Yes, I saw it. To be honest, it’s been an inspiration. To make things easier at the beginning will help them get deeper and deeper. Thanks for your post!

Congratulations, out of all the people you hope will listen to you regarding Bitcoin, you have managed to reach the most important one in the world. 🌍 your daughter! 🤩 It is important to make our children see the world with laser eyes, so that they can escape the scam of the social and fiduciary system. Once again, congratulations!! 🥳 And last but not least, congratulations on the photos, they are fantastic!
reply
Thanks! All pictures from her!
You are right! We must open their eyes, so that they can flourish!

And let me tell you that there is a hidden talent there that perhaps you haven't explored in depth yet. I'm a photography enthusiast, and a few years ago, I even made a professional living off of photography. So in a way, I have a certain critical eye for photographs, and Wow, they're all very good. Nowadays, something I'm trying to get back into is my photography career, at a secondary level if you could say, my intention is to take photos of the world again and try to monetize that through some forums that exist on the internet, maybe she'd like something similar. Living free is the main goal and then adapting activities that allow me to live like that haha. Like photography through the internet.

Thanks! She is going to love your comments!

You should

Excellent my friend, I congratulate you, it is the best way to include your daughter in the bitcoin path towards financial freedom and to be able to wake up from the fallacies of the fiduciary world.

Thanks! On our way…

Everyone gets Bitcoin in their own way. I know it's frustrating to see loved ones not get it, but she'll come around when she's ready.
Like Saylor says, "Everyone gets bitcoin at the price they deserve."... That sounded harsh for me when I first heard it, but I'm starting to get it now.
reply
It’s true, you only want the best for them and keep trying to help them. At the end of the day, it will be her decision and I will wait for her.
reply
I can't believe that clever people are still in existence. It is hard to convince GenZ with regards to "the scam" of Bitcoin but you were able to convince and persuade her with your strategic moves as if a checkmate.
reply
I think we should offer the opportunity at least. We will see what happens!

Good luck
