If we want to use blockchain to create a scoring system in the classroom where my students have wallets and the points I give are in the form of ZAP, which students can collect and then exchange for their final grades on grading day, do you think it would be fun?

Can you elaborate on the blockchain part?
You wanna do this on-chain or off-chain?

I would like to do something like sending bitcoin wallets on the lightning network, where every student has a wallet. When they submit their work, I will Zap it to them. Do you think it would be possible? Is it possible?

As an instant reward, why not.
But if they can then exchange the sats to get a final grade, it's easy to game the system and use additional external sats to basically pay for the highest grade. You'd have to keep track of how much you gave them. It's a convoluted accounting system.
I'd probably just give them some sats for work well done and keep it at that ;)

I’m not above giving my students Kit Kat as a form of ‘bribery’ to get them to do their work, but I think if we equate education with sats farming, many students will lose their intrinsic motivation
