i was thinking about those linux laptops with coreboot or even libreboot like the minifree. With coreboot I am aware of purism, starlabs, novacustom, nitrokey and system76. But what are the chances it's being targeted by 3L agencies to put backdoors in it? What do I mean exactly, let's think like them: those companies are offering too much fredom to the plebs, let's infiltrate them, make them sign some contract that if they disclosure we send them right to jail, and we make them install some very tiny hardware backdoor, not on the coreboot or libreboot code as it would be found very fast. Maybe i'm too paranoid LOL
I don't know enough to know if your paranoid or not but I do believe Linux is safer than the others. I find using Linux much more productive and enjoyable than other OS.

If your adversary is a government entity you're not going to win while using tech. They have unlimited time and budgets.
You need to have a level headed threat model and adjust accordingly.

Of course, but that's not the point of the post, but mass survailance using hardware backdoors on devices sold that are targeted for linux users and people that seek privacy.
