This is a welcome development for Bitcoin maximalists. We have more options with Bisq2. This is the neatest piece I have seen so far. With peer to peer there are risks involved but we will learn to manage it.
You can also consider Robosats for buying with lightning. While Bisq Easy's main advantage is its collateral-free setup for new users, Robosats has more security features imo, making it a more suitable option if you're already using lightning sats. These include one-time identities (no reuse), collateral bonds, and escrow, which provide an additional layer of protection compared to Bisq Easy's reputation-based system. This release is a step taken by Bisq in addressing this specific issue they faced in the past.

I have not been on the seller side, but no reference about escrow, just reputation. https://bisq.wiki/Bisq_Easy
