The Squire treats death as a bitter and hopeless joke.Since we all play chess with death, and since we all must suffer through that hopeless joke, the only question about the game is how long it will last and how well we will play it.

So this is where the idea of Seventh Seal. Checkmating Death is not an easy task.

The Kiss of Death, is a marble sculpture located in the Poblenou Cemetery in Barcelona. 

The sculpture is believed to have been crafted by Jaume Barba in 1930, as his signature is present on the side of the sculpture. 

It is often said to have inspired Bergman’s The Seventh Seal.
