If an immigrant is granted the right to stay in the European Union, he has the right to asylum in the country in which he first arrived. Nevertheless, Germany serves as the absorbent sponge for the invasion of young men on the continent, which has been running hot for years. Around half of those who have immigrated since 2013 end up stranded in Germany at some point, the majority of whom are not gainfully employed even after years of residence in Germany.
The generous German social system, which has become the social welfare office of the world as a product of German moralism, will present German society with a problem that it will initially solve through higher taxes, hidden inflation and extensive expropriation which will destroy the rest of potential productivity growth. Sooner or later, German society will have to face a bitter truth and an open debate about illegal immigration. It is cowardly and stupid to femoralize this debate as right-wing extremist in view of the fact that, in the wake of euro-bureaucratism and our own demographic catastrophe, we will no longer be able to generate the productivity and growth to carry a growing number of cost-recipients. That's the truth! You either have a welfare state with border control or You are an open society without. You cannot have both without colliding with reality.

I strongly prefer the immigrants sans welfare state option.

Germany took a buttload of immigrants compared to all the other countries.

Yeah it's really visible when you go there. I was there a couple weeks this summer, and I remember in particular the first little city I got to. In walking around in the evening, I saw and heard only foreigners - i.e. people not speaking German - all through the main part of town, for the first 45 minutes, and then I finally heard someone speaking German.
It wasn't an isolated suburb or anything, this was the main part of a small town, and it was filled with people - younger people too, teenagers - who were not speaking German. That's a good indication that they're not integrating - they're not speaking the local language.
I wonder if it affects the personality/mood of the country as well. It seemed kind of dour. I know Germans have that reputation, but when I crossed the border to the Netherlands (which seems to have MANY MANY fewer immigrants) everybody seemed happier. I wrote a post on it: Big difference in atmosphere crossing a border - Germany to Netherlands

Migration as a method of survival is ancient. Humans have always sought basic economic improvements. What happens is that when borders began to be established and some began to exploit the resources of others, simply because they were more developed, instead of sharing that development and making it communal, they have had to pay the price for what they have historically done. Migrants go where they can live better, because the resources of their place of origin have been taken by those who now do not want to welcome them.
The European community as a whole has a great historical debt with America and Africa. Germany should not assume all that debt, but for the moment it is the one that is doing the most for migrants and that could be harmful to the citizens who in the long run have benefited from the exploitation of resources from the same places where the migrants come from.

there is no moral obligation to commit collective cultural suicide
If it were up to me, a strict border regime would be introduced and this invasion of exclusively young men would be stopped immediately. and believe me, my generation is not at all to blame here. The perspective of an issue changes depending on which side we are on in the matter. Historical guilt is not going to disappear because what happened in the past conditions what happens in the present and this in turn will condition what happens in the future.
It is true that your generation is not to blame for what past generations did, and believe me I understand that 1000 percent and your concern for what may happen in Germany due to emigration, but the fact is that the young people who are emigrating to Germany are also not to blame for what previous generations of Germans did and even worse, because of what those generations did they have not had the possibility of having any benefit, which the current generations of Germans have benefited from those decisions.
What remains is for each side of the issue to assume its share of responsibility, because many other countries in the European community are also responsible for this historical debt.
In the end, governments, whatever their geographic location or political line, only think about how to solve their problems and those of their close ones. The rest is a fallacy and democracy and equality are pure utopias to pit ordinary citizens against each other and thus make a profit.
I hope that migration does not continue to be a problem in Germany and believe me, I have a German friend who had already told me about this issue and things are difficult.

Nation states operate under the assumption that their governments act in the best interests of their citizens. Yes European/Western governments have done this more successfully than African ones. Europe has succeeded in capturing, controlling and effectively subjugating Africa and most of the rest of the planets peoples and resources. Allowing uncontrolled immigration into Europe on the basis of guilt for past success in asserting itself better than those it has subjugated will however not benefit Europe. It is national, cultural and economic suicide and is occurring because modern Europe has lost its sense of self worth and thus the ability to assert itself. Ultimately this is part of the process that is leading towards China assuming a much stronger global role and western countries increasingly collapsing into cultural and economic chaos. Because China appears to be able to unite and focus its strategic ambitions and still sees itself as worthy of dominating others it looks likely to succeed while Europe drowns in a toxic stew of guilt and self doubt. The dominance European people have gained is not inviolable. It can be and increasingly looks likely to be lost. Most Europeans still however appear unable to conceive of this harsh reality and by the time they do, it may well be too late.
