Shorter trip into my head while reading this story:

• Is that a true story in disguise? It's "oddly specific" but being oddly specific can also just mean that @plebpoet knows how to write good stories
• The event part reminded me of a similar occasion that wasn't a date, though I wished it had been

I saw Heath as someone who was preoccupied with the reflection of himself in the world, and I try not to date that type. Yet, when we spoke seriously about something, he was unnervingly sincere. He caught on too quickly to the fact that sincerity is what gets me.

When I’m dating someone and it’s new and fun, I stay reserved for a reason.
