Progressive and even many mainstream economists believe that cash is a relic from the past and should be replaced with digital money. There are many good reasons why not to follow this course, and no good reasons to replace cash.
I think that till now they have been getting away by replacing the way cash is being used. But, they've forgotten that even after you make up a buffalo, it will remain black. Cash is running with some last gas left. Within the next century, all will have to accept Bitcoin because people won't be willing to use mere papers.

I'm not so sure. There are distinct sources of demand for tangible media of exchange. Perhaps bitcoin will get there, but I get into fights with other stackers sometimes when I point this out.
