I like him for he advocated free market above all. Why do you like him specifically.
I like him for the same reason. He was probably the leading free market voice in the 70's, along with Ayn Rand. I watched his great series Free to Choose, when I was first getting into these ideas. It's fantastic.
I'm not particularly fond of his actual academic work or the policy reforms he was involved with.

The right approach is to find a Ron Swanson and make him the Secretary of Firing People and Liquidating Assets.
