This is a post that I decided to write when I knew I had a good picture that I could use as the banner (half-serious).
When I realized I need to let it go because it already took me so much time with still so many things left to mention (I didn't even get to the Austin part yet); my memories weren't that crisp anymore and the weight of the responsibility to finish this post became too much for me, I simply shared the picture in #630612. I really felt the sunk cost fallacy but I also felt a huge relief from allowing myself to waste my time differently now.
I grew some balls to share it here now instead of only with @plebpoet as I almost just did. I briefly mentioned this post to her during my second visit and I liked the idea that at least one person that isn't me would see what I wrote so far. I like the beginning but it's obviously a draft, see (incomplete) bullet points at the end. That's also why this is on dev.ekzy.is, not ekzy.is.

nicely finally done. I get too used to how cool @PlebLab is and all its characters, so this was fun to read from your perspective, and reminded me how many awesome things happen there. And they're still awesome even if you hide in the bathroom, like I have done before as well

Thanks for sharing! Some of your feelings when going through airport security, I have had them before. Even though I am not a criminal but still feeling scrutinised.

first person that I asked for help in Austin couldn’t speak English
Ahahah! Did he/she speak Spanish?

it’s about not falling victim to a daily routine in which I feel trapped and become unaware of my freedom.
Oh I love this. I am generally not a fan of routine and love to spice things up. But parenting necessitates that I grow comfortable with routine, so I’m trying my best. Do you do mindfulness or meditation so that you don’t take your daily routine and usual freedoms for granted?
It’s a cool thing that you engaged with the couple from Ukraine. Otherwise you wouldn’t have gotten your phone back. This sort of cosmic intervention sends chills down my spine.
