It is true that you, like me, have the right not only to believe in what you want, but also to express it. I would never question someone's judgment, that is respect for freedom of expression.
I don't consider myself a connoisseur of Bitcoin, politics or economics. Only, as you say, it must be based on facts and not words.
Mr. Trump, who made a promise to make the US the Bitcoin capital of the world, attended a Bitcoin conference, but during his term in office he DID NOTHING FOR BITCOIN ADOPTION IN THE UNITED STATES.
The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, never promised anything to make El Salvador the capital of Bitcoin, he simply began his mandate in 2019 and in 2021 ADOPTED BITCOIN AS LEGAL CURRENCY. That's a fact, not a promise.
In addition, it has developed together with the Salvadoran people a CIRCULAR ECONOMY AROUND BITCOIN, that is also a fact, not a promise.
On July 25, 2024, the digital newspaper Energías Renovables published an article about Bitcoin mining in El Salvador that stated the following:
"At the request of Nayib Bukele, president of El Salvador, 300 bitcoin mining equipment have already been installed at the Tecapa plant, generating a total of 474 BTC in the blockchain network to date. According to the bit2me.com portal, the holdings of bitcoin from El Salvador amount to 5,751.7 BTC.
To mine cryptocurrencies it is necessary to use equipment that requires a large amount of energy, considering all the necessary installation and ventilation. The National Bitcoin Office states that with mining operations from the Tecapa volcano, the country is demonstrating that it is possible to mine this digital currency in a sustainable way."
This is a fact, not a promise.
I reiterate that everyone is free to think, say and act as they want, that is freedom of expression, which they also have. For my part, I do not give my ears to any politician to listen to their talks and promises. I base myself on the facts.
El Salvador is a great example for many including the United States but the United States is a very big place and Texas is probably doing the most in the United States.
Donald Trump is the only candidate who is running and saying he supports Bitcoin.
It's important to also note that Americans have been in El Salvador working on Bitcoin projects since 2017. Bitcoin Beach is what opened up the minds of many.
The US needs someone who will not shut the door on other Americans also working very hard to shine the light on Bitcoin.
