It's Saturday, thus it is poll day!

The NFL season has finally started. Every year there are some teams that surprise to the upside. Last year both the Packers and Texans made the playoffs and won games Wild Card round games before being eliminated in the divisional round. Which team do you think is poised to make a similar leap this year from pretender to contender (or at least playoff team).

I think the Seahawks will have a good year. I like Mike Macdonald. I think they might have a better year than the Rams. The Rams seem so top heavy with talent. I don't know that they can withstand any meaningful injuries. If all goes right for them I think they could be a playoff team again this year but I would take Seattle for second in NFC West if I had to pick right now.

My second favorite team after the Jets is "whoever's facing the Pats" (they replaced "whoever's facing the Dolphins" some years ago). So I'm hoping to enjoy myself even after the inevitable Jets collapse.

Obviously, I want to take my Raiders, but I'd say the Jets are the obvious choice. They probably make the playoffs, as long as Rodgers makes it through half the games.

Jets are definitely an interesting one. If they can stay healthy and Rodgers is Rodgers they should be able to compete with anyone. D is really good and they have a few nice weapons on Offense.

They were pretty competitive last year, even with an atrocious QB. As long as they get more from Rodgers than they got from Wilson, they should be a playoff lock.

You think they will be a lock? That division is tough outside of the Patriots. I don't think they will win the division. I definitely think a wild card will come from that division but I don't know about two.

I might be more bearish on the rest of the AFC, outside of KC.

I think it will be a fun battle for AFC east if Jets, Bills and Dolphins stay healthy and play to their potential.

I don’t even know if I am going to go through the first week on survivor’s pool. Even more difficult to know who is going to be surprise team. I can see from answers that it’s going to be tough to say.
