Boomers vs Gen XBoomers vs Gen X

Brand preferences between Boomers and Gen X is largely the same, though Boomers prefer Ford while Gen X prefers Chevrolet.
Millennials have very similar tastes as the previously shown Gen Xers, with only a few brands swapping places.
Meanwhile, Gen Z is unique in that a non-American brand (Honda) is its most popular pick. Zoomers are also the only generation with Volkswagen in its top 10.
Looking at the rankings as a whole, another interesting takeaway is Hyundai’s grip on sixth place across all U.S. generations. Alongside Kia, the two Korean brands have made a big push into the American market over the past decade. They currently command a 10% market share in the U.S., which is double of what it was in 2008. 🔗Via Visualcapitalist

I place between boomer and gen x. I have driving VW over 20 years. Just recently changed to Hyunday , not looking back. Future is heading east.

reply

VW has been very popular in Europe, I can see. Surely, Hyundai is doing great. All looking at east and Indian companies are also lining up to compete. The era of European cars is over now.

reply

Last few years Toyota, Hyundai and Kia are at the top of sales. Not sure if European cars are over yet but surely experiencing a lot of competition. Regarding Indian brands not very common at this moment to be honest.

reply

Toyota, Hyundai and Kia's sales are at all time low in India. Indians are loving their made in India cars. Tata and Mahindra are making some exceptional cars according to Indian conditions. They are first eying at Indian and third world market and they are doing incredibly well there.

reply

That’s interesting. A month ago I spoke to a car dealer. There was a family trying to sell him a Mahindra. He even hadn’t that brand in the data base. I am talking a car dealer with European base not just country. Perhaps in a few years time we are talking in different ways. I remember a decade ago seeing some Tata around but not very common now.

It would be interesting to see the trend in years to come

reply

You know Mahindra has an option of 4x4 in around $20k. O don't think any European brand can give you such a nice option in so less!

reply

I'm going to buy it this year! This is my favourite!

reply

That’s a nice 4x4. More considering the price. We’ll see if they come over here.

You can find details about India below

What do you think of Mahindra?

reply

Mahindra Thar is in great demand among the youth.

reply

Maruti dominates in India. But nowadays tata is growing.

Where is tesla 🤔

reply

Teslas aren't selling as much as other brands do in America.

reply

Ohh even tho tesla valuations is high

reply

It's not about valuation but it's about popularity. May be Teslas are still behind in giving that feel to design which other brands offer. Cars are still bought on individual taste.

reply

That's right Get it sir Thanks for the info

reply

well it seems that toyota still one of the classics cars that everyone wants to own despite of the region i suppose. good thought

reply

Toyota's reliability and affordability combined is matchless till now.

reply

i agree but you know the funny part is that some parts in the middle east the 2011 toyota cars worth even more than a new tesla cybertruck which is kinda like not everyone can have it and if you were lucky enough you would be having that 2011's release and be dreaming of that 2023 toyota car's release particularly hilux and the s called sash
