Kind of similar. We're planning to move to a similar model where your coins will be self-custodied in Liquid or on-chain BTC by default but swaps into or out of lightning will happen automatically as needed, but we're not quite there yet.
Also Aqua is a native mobile app while we're a PWA.

Aqua has an APK available so there's no need to download an app from Google play. Is PWA an improvement over that?
