What is? ✅ How use? ✅
Why make?
I made it because at work the other day I overheard my friend helping someone set up an LN node, and my friend told him if he wants to use this node from his phone he'll need to install tailscale so his phone can talk to his computer without being choked by a firewall. The new node runner complained and said it was all too much -- it was hard enough to install a node, if every node runner also has to install tailscale on their node and their phone and then hook that up to their wallet, then no one will do it.
So I said, "You don't have to install anything on your phone. You can use Nostr Wallet Connect to control your node." And my friend said, "Hey, that's a good idea. What wallets are there for that?" So I asked in the NWC discord channel for a wallet recommendation and found that there are lots of nostr clients that connect to NWC, but only one wallet -- Alby Go -- and when I tried Alby Go it gave me a connection error (which I reported and they are pushing out a fix before their release in a few days).
So, I identified my requirements:
  • a simple wallet
  • not a social media client
  • send/receive/history
  • no need to install anything special on your phone
  • connect via NWC
And, since nothing on the market matched those requirements, I just made one. I started working on it two days ago and finished it yesterday. Well, "finished" is a loose word here. I have a few more features I can add to it, like lnurl support, lightning address support, base layer support, swaps, lovelier buttons, and so on. But the basics are there.

Coulda had him set up a Lightning.Pub in 2 minutes and have full control of the node over Nostr, guests etc... and shockwallet also has a pwa option: https://my.shockwallet.app

true, I haven't yet worked on lightning.pub to see what it can do but I really ought to...it looks very wonderful and I love your demos and tutorials
