Yesterday, this song from way back popped up on the radio, and it totally reminded me of @grayruby's Epic Guitar series.
Carlos do Carmo wasn't just a fado singer; he was the voice of Portugal. The Portuguese guitar, with its haunting and passionate sound, was his constant companion. The combination of his unforgettable voice and the guitar's distinctive sound created a powerful and emotional experience that could take you straight to the heart of Lisbon. Together, they left a lasting musical legacy, carrying on the tradition of fado and touching the hearts of listeners everywhere. Enjoy!

Awesome. Thanks for contributing to the series.
Wonderful playing.
As soon as I started playing this video my daughter grabbed her Ukulele and started playing along and said "did you know, you are not only hearing guitar". Haha

I was so touched by your comment, it truly confirms that music is a universal language. The sound of this guitar, and especially this solo piece, feels like it's speaking to me. Not through words, but through sounds that evoke such deep emotions, it gives me chills.

So cool and so peaceful! To compliment it I would bring an Indian Axe, Sitar from Indian Classical Music.

I know the sitar and it's one of my favorite instruments. Just like the Portuguese guitar, it feels like the sitar has something to say. I remember hearing the sitar for the first time when I listened to Norah Jones.

Yes, Sitar speaks and speaks with so much melody often times, I'll forget to switch it off at nights and sleep. Here's 🙏Pandit Ravi Shankar, the maestro of Sitar. https://youtu.be/opdRDGwhs38?si=4AsTdUiOW7loCkd9
