I think it will be a net positive if the government breaks Ethereum, but I definitely do not want the Ethereum people to go to jail, I want them to come and start building stuff with Bitcoin.

A scammer is a thief. Burglars and pickpockets take advantage of those with weak security, purse thieves take advantage of those with weak physique, scammers take advantage of those with weak minds. They are different forms of the same attack.

I take the side of law enforcement on this issue because Vitalik is a scammer that has caused harm to family and friends. Criminals should be punished.

this is dangerous. we should not allow the government to just define something as under their purview and then start regulating it. it has nothing to do with them. they get no piece. this also means that people invested need to be responsible for themselves. we don't need the SEC to come in and "save" us.

I've been watching TU for a while, good channel.
But on this matter I disagree with him, strongly. While the EF are guilty of many things, no coersion has been involved and people have voluntarily bought into the project. I feel similar about the countless shitcoin rugpulls.
From a Bitcoin-first perspective: If a precedent is set for targetting Ethereum developers, I'm worried this could eventually leak into the Bitcoin ecosystem too. Core devs and those working on privacy tech, for example.

Bitcoin is freedom. Ethereum is a centralized scam. I have no problem with Ethereum being shut down. People in this thread acting like there is no such thing as law and order.
