I’ve been wanting to start and manage a territory as well. One for bitcoin meetups and trip reports. I could provide a lot content to inspire activity in my own territory which would help me regain the sats and time of management. I can’t seem to pin down a nice catchy name that would attract all the attention I’d like however.
Anyways I’ve always known that if I do pull that trigger, I’ll pay the 3M sats. For me there’s a lot of value in instantly having a hard cap on the road to profit ville. If I were to pay month to month for a year and then decide to pay the 3M sats… then the journey of earning 3m sats starts then. With an entire year of paying fees behind me.

correct, posts still visible/searchable. archived territories can be redeemed. for example the owner of ~Mining_Bitcoin could have bought ~Mining_Self_Hosting_FOSS instead create a new one and inherit the old content
