Yes actually. When I worked as an analog electronics designer I did all my soldering under a binocular microscope with a pair of tweezers. That setup makes working with surface mount parts easier than thru hole.

Wow, that's cool. I recently did some soldering and I really liked it. I was able to fix my car by fixing the transmission control module. It wasn't that small though.
