I have noticed that I go through phases here. Some days I check in just a couple times. I even have gone weeks without checking in or posting at all. But today I can't keep myself from checking in on every new post. What is that about? Does anyone else have that type or relationship with stacker or are you pretty steady with your usage? What does your usage look like?
I don't want any kind of addiction in my life. That's why I do any work only in limited time.
reply
I think that's a good approach. Be more balanced. I am working on it.
reply
The best thing is to maintain balance in life. Too much of anything can only cause harm.

💯 Shift in perspective is always important.

I'm so addicted, I even turned on Push Notifications, and now it's a never-ending sat drip.
reply
Haha. There's push notifications. I am using an Android and it's just a web link I open. How do I get the full strength stuff!!
reply
Literally after I posted this, I see a check box up top. How have I never noticed this before. This seems dangerous. Straight to the veins.
reply
I'm on a computer now, and there was a "Turn on push notifications" somewhere in my profile or something.
reply
I clicked it and it failed for some reason. Probably a permission thing. I'm on a phone.
reply
Probably for the best. 😬

It's a phone feature thing. You need an app with the notifications. I can help build if someone talks to me.... I used ChatGPT to make a Wordle and a Hangman iPhone app in 1 night (5 minutes)....
reply
Awesome. I have no skills in that area. I am sure glad so many of you do. You all are building the future.
reply
I need the SN app on my phone. Who is making this?
reply
I'm very steady. I don't miss. I'm not doing anything else these days except being with family and SN. Have you noticed that after you made that big post, I've started posting 'The Daily zap' #689646 in ~alternative_native.
reply
I check from time to time, I hardly ever go into X because I find out about everything here

I think I start to feel nostalgic for SN on those days where my normie world activities keep me busy all day away from value for value. For some time now I have been stopping using other social networks, I am already at the point where I only check (X) once or twice a day, and there are even days when I don't go through (X) at all.
reply
It took me a while to get off the other stuff. Now I am only interested in stacker and nostr. I don't like YouTube but I don't know of a good alternative yet. We are so early.
reply
My usage is incentive-driven, enjoyable, and eager to meet new people, learn, and share ideas with those who understand the value of financial freedom.
reply
That's healthy. Sometimes, mine is "ohhhh, I got the a red dot" driven. Bigger picture it's what you said for sure.

I too want that cowboy 🤠.
reply
I made it like 20 days one time and then it felt like a big loss. So I haven't thought about it for a while.
reply
I read a lot, and I like to comment when friends make new posts. I am also comfortable at SN, because there is a lot of knowledge from several friends.
reply
Lots of cool people. And it's all types. It's the only place where I go online other than YouTube really.
reply
I'm addicted too. Still waiting for a fun post though.
All news and no play makes jack a dull boy

I think I get stuck in loops easily. If I get myself to work on something, I have a hard time quitting that for the day. But each day, I reset. Never know what version of myself I am going to get. 🤷‍♂️
reply
I'm trying to get focused on building a master liquidity node, but I'm getting analysis paralysis on all the liquidity automation options. So I SN 🤷‍♂️
reply
Sounds like important work. I don't know what it means but it sounds like it is Bitcoin work?
reply
Yes, see reply above ^ :D

I'd be willing to pay satoshis for it too, but it's a trust issue, giving someone access to your node..
reply
That makes sense. I trust you will figure it out somehow.
reply
That happens to me often. I get stuck in my head. Maybe it's a good thing to have a distraction so the best ideas can simmer and work themselves out.

I'm waiting for someone to post "I have been running a node for a few months now with automated liquidity: no failed transaction, and I'm willing to give you the macaroon file and open the RPC port so you all can build your sites. I'm inventing Lightning-as-a-Service"
reply
I'll pray real hard for you. 🪄
