Yes. I did that in little league and got hit in the face with the throw and had the seams of the ball intended in my cheek.

No, quite rare at MLB level. Not so rare in kids baseball where no one knows what they are doing.

Some pros don't know what they're doing either, saw in the paper the other day a guy got caught trying to steal home with a 3-0 count, bases loaded, 2 outs

Thats what l thought. I cant remember a time someone has stolen home. Seems like a big risk.

I’d say with the new rules it’s allowed for stealing to become much easier hence the huge spike in SB each year
