Why did they skip number 9?

Apple’s decision to skip the iPhone 9 and jump straight to the iPhone X (pronounced “ten”) in 2017 wasn’t just a quirky choice; it was a calculated move. The iPhone X was introduced to mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone line, and Apple wanted to make a splash.
Microsoft’s 2015 switch from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 wasn’t a random number skip but a strategic decision influenced by several factors. Windows 8 had faced criticism for its confusing interface and did not appeal to users like its predecessor.
No way! I still believe that both Microsoft and Apple had been superstitious for number nine.

It was stupid simple. They matched iPhone 10 with the 10th anniversary of the phone.

I don't believe any number is unlucky. It is the highest single-digit number.

In Japan, 9 is considered unlucky due to its similarity to the word for “suffering.”

How curious... I hadn't noticed! These 2 big companies have everything figured out! And if they jumped to 10 it's in search of a marketing boost!! Giving their customers the impression of the product's evolution into the future!!

Even though they skipped those numbers, they didnt skip on increasing the price on their products.
