Personally, I am not surprised that Canada is the leader in agricultural land ownership in the USA. I say this more than anything because of its location. In other words, many of them are neighbors and will live in Canada and have their crops in the USA and thus take advantage of the benefits of exporting or producing from a world power. In my humble opinion, it must be relatively more profitable to export from the United States than from Canada, a country with high taxes and a very strict government in economic matters.
