I might have to consider dropping Davante to the bench and elevating Odunze or McLaurin until AJ Brown and Deebo are back. I have a lot of injuries right now. Just trying to make it work until my guys are back.
Until the raiders figure it out, Adams is one of those weird spots where you always feel like you need to start him because of name. But if he's not got the numbers... Ride the hot hand so to speak.

I'm sick of the woe-is-me attitude from him. It's one thing to be frustrated when your QB keeps missing you, but when you're the one dropping passes, it's a bad look.
reply
He did come across as a "can do no wrong" kinda guy in the netflix documentary. I can see how fans would be getting tired of his ish when he's being paid a bag.
reply
I cut him some slack last year, because the front office really did him dirty. They lured him in with the promise of getting to play with his best friend Carr and then stuck him with Jimmy G. Talk about a bait and switch.
That first season with Carr, Davante was incredible. Now, though, he's saying he wants to be here and he's not performing like an elite WR, so I don't know what his grounds for sulking are.
reply
Smart, but you'll probably want to still have Davante on your roster once he's catching passes from Rodgers.
reply
Pierce was awesome in his post game press conference. Don't know if those comments were directed at Davante or Davante plus some others but I respect that. He is trying to build a culture.
reply
I got a lot of respect for pierce, seems like a good coach.
reply
We like him, too, but he needs to show us these aren't the same Raiders we're used to.
reply
That might be more a GM problem than a coaching problem. A coach can only do so much with the hand they're dealt. It's on the GM to get the right personnel in the building. And neglecting the QB position, is a bold move for the raiders.
reply
I think the GM's done ok, so far. We were top heavy at DE and suffered injuries to basically all three of our pass rushers. That's mostly bad luck.
Poor effort is on the coaches and players.
reply
Lossing Crosby for any amount of time is a huge blow. But the players do need to step it up for sure.
reply
Based on Sunday, it would be crippling.
May have been Davante. I heard Jack Jones implicated.
The comments caught me off-guard, because that didn't strike me as the problem. I'm glad he's putting a boot in their asses though.
reply
Spicy take, you think raiders trade for Rodgers or jets trade for Adams?
reply
I think it would be the Jets trading for Davante. I'm ready to sell high on Adams, if that's still possible. He's had a lot of big drops since Carr left.
reply
His value may end up higher if he does go to the jets. Hard to call it either way, Wilson is legit.
reply
You guys must want Aiyuk. Three way deal. Adams to Jets, Aiyuk to Raiders. Reddick to 49ers.
reply
Pass, I just want Bowers to be our primary receiving option. Make it Warner, CMC, Purdy, Bosa, or Williams and you'd have yourself a deal.
reply
Yeah none of those are happening.
reply
With all these injuries, maybe the niners are gonna blow it up and start their rebuild around Purdy. (I know that's incredibly stupid, but I want the guys on your roster)
reply
That won't happen. They will be able to keep the first couple years of Purdy's extension cap hits pretty low like the Eagles did with Hurts. That should allow them to keep the band together for a couple more years at least. They have some guys on expiring deals like Ward, who they might night be able to bring back next year so there will likely be some change but I don't expect change to the core for a few years. They extended CMC and Trent. Aiyuk is signed for 4 years. Deebo for 2 more years. Kittle for 2 more years, Warner for 2 more years. They will probably lose Greenlaw if he plays well when he comes back.
I can almost see CMC getting traded. Large contract, continually injured, mason looks serviceable. The best ability is availability and he hasn't been able to do that. Shifting his contract onto someone else wouldn't be bad business.
reply
CMC is not getting traded but I think his injury is going to linger all year. Reports are he isn't getting better. He had one other season like this when he was with Carolina where he missed most of the year but otherwise he has been pretty healthy.
reply
I'd keep him on ice until the playoffs, unless it seems like you'll miss them without him (which seems unlikely). If he's fresh for the postseason and teams don't have much film on this year's offense, that could be a big advantage.
Are there any good teams that really need a quality back? I've heard Dallas' RB room is pretty weak.
reply
Reddick on the 9ers is not something I want to see come NFCCG time.
reply
Two things in this comment are probably not gonna happen. Actually likely 3 things. Reddick isn't going to the 49ers (they won't pay him what he wants), the Vikings aren't going to the NFCCG and probably the 49ers aren't either with the injuries, the way they are playing and the schedule. I am hoping for the best for you but I don't think Sam can keep this up. Hope he proves me wrong.

😱😱 herecy. I need to get you a pint of that purple koolaid then you'll begin to believe 🤣🤣
