You would think but really... it isnt as crazy as what some of the Super PACs are going to spend. At least this money can be traced back to Elon where as Super PACs are just dark money pits. Not saying what Elon is doing is good or right just compared to what the other option is that we will see is just much much worse

I mean in general he has aligned with the Republican Party with a ton of things you could point at. By far I would say cutting government bureaucracy is one and SpaceX is running into that with Starship in Texas from the FAA.
He has become more and more I'd say blunt about different things via X. For example with Brazil he published all the shady stuff they wanted done with silencing people both located within Brazil and outside of it and then when X pulled out how they (Brazil) went after other assets that were not connected to X at all but rather him.

No none of these people are really critics compared to most of the Democratic Party. These are more rank and file vote how leadership says vote people. A few of them like the Alaska, New Mexico, and Colorado races I would argue those Dem Members do not do a great job for their district and often get caught up in what I would call personal politics. Say there is a bill that would generate a ton of jobs and money for the area but it involved an oil company or a pipeline/transmission line being run through a corner of the district that is empty, unused, farm land they would vote against it because of those involved. Not because the project is bad or if it is a hydrogen pipeline something that they previously as in last week voted for but now because it is a pipeline and people think oil and not hydrogen they vote against to the detriment of their constituents.
