Yeah. We live out in the desert. She's outside more than inside.

Does she every eat something outside? Maybe plants, animals, or insects?

That's an interesting thought. Not that I have seen. She been doing it since she was pretty young. Before she really went out much.

Or it could be the water or food. Check the bowl and give it a good cleaning everyday for a while.
