Many people know about the famous Sagrada Familia, but did you know that Gaudí developed some of its groundbreaking design ideas through his work on Colonia Güell?
Located just outside Barcelona, Colonia Güell is an unfinished crypt where Gaudí experimented with innovative architectural techniques.
Here, he used a small-scale version of his signature catenary arches and organic forms, which later defined the Sagrada Familia.

I will post soon his first work. This is a small corner of mansion close to "Diagonal" (Near Camp Nou Stadium). In Colonia Guell Gaudi experimented with shapes, forms, materials and structures. He used all these in his next projects. In the area you can find small pieces of all his late creations. From the benches in the church ( seen in Batilla Casa) to the ceramic mosaics (used later in Park Guell).

True. It required some extra time as the location is outside of Barcelona. But you can use the normal bus line and visit the place. It can take half day.
