~Bitcoin News of the Day

  • This isn't the first time IMF has warned El Salvador. Most recently, in August, the IMF said something similar when it declared in a statement that “while many of the risks have not yet materialized, there is joint recognition that further efforts are needed to enhance transparency and mitigate potential fiscal and financial stability risks from the Bitcoin project.” At that time, the IMF also said that “additional discussions in this and other key areas remain necessary.”

Global Trade & ~Econ

  • In U.S. Federal Reserve officials' latest projections and recent public commentary, the overall economy is seen remaining in solid shape but the job market is seen as weakening and a subject of increasingly intense concern. Fed Chair Jerome Powell this week acknowledged that "tension" and said employment data in the months ahead, rather than other economic indicators, "may give a better real time picture" of how the economy is evolving.

  • The law is expected to allow mentally competent, terminally ill adults in England and Wales with six months or less left to live to choose whether to end their lives, and allow medics to help them. Under current law, assisting suicide is punishable by up to 14 years in jail.

  • The European Union’s top court said Friday that some FIFA rules on player transfers are contrary to European Union legislation relating to competition and freedom of movement, in a ruling that will likely lead to a shakeup of the soccer market’s regulations and change the sport’s economy.
  • The court’s ruling came after former France international Lassana Diarra legally challenged FIFA rules following a dispute with a club dating back to a decade ago. Diarra argued that FIFA’s restrictions meant he was unable to find a new club after his contract with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow was terminated in 2014.

~Tech & ~Science

~History with Mystery

  • "The earliest seat belts weren’t actually made for cars, but for aircraft. In the 19th century, English engineer George Cayley created a seat belt to use on his monoplane glider, an early aircraft flown in the late-19th century. The simple lap belt secured passengers to their seats during turbulent flights and rough landings and takeoffs......"

~Entertainment World

  • Elon Musk reportedly used to brag about his friendship with Sean “Diddy” Combs despite recently questioning who around the disgraced music mogul knew he allegedly abused a 9-year-old and others.
  • “I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter,” the X owner once told Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels, reporters Ryan Mac and Kate Conger write in “Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter,” according to the Daily Mail.

Regarding FIFA rules on transfers, it may cause a lot of trouble to small-medium clubs. Big clubs should be rubbing their hands with this ruling.

I hope this Diddy story doesn't get buried like the Epstein one. It's insane that the public tolerates this stuff.
reply
Currently, it's making a lot of highlights and everyday we're seeing a new name being added to Diddy's friendlist. Musk is just denying his any sort of association with Diddy but in fact he was seen with him a lot of times.
reply
Same with Epstein, though, and somehow we're right back to treating people like they're the crazy ones if they bring up Epstein and his known associates.

What was cool was volvo didnt patent their sest belt because they thought safety was for everyone. That mindset seems to have been lost in the current society
