• Did you know that the Statue of Liberty was originally a reddish-brown color? Its green color seen today is the result of the natural weathering of its copper surfaces. The statue may be the tallest in North America, but on a global scale it falls short of the top 20.
  • The Statue of Unity is the tallest in the world, and was built quite recently in 2018. The bronze-cladded statue depicts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, an Indian independence leader.
  • Portugal’s Sanctuary of Christ the King is the tallest in Europe, at 110 meters (361 ft). Inspired by Christ the Redeemer in Rio, the statue was completed in 1959 as an expression of gratitude for Portugal not suffering direct consequences from World War II.
I find this post interesting 😊 and wow, I didn't know that the Statue of Liberty 🗽 was copper-colored and well, I must confess that I did know about the tallest one, which is the one in India. I like posts with graphs and statistics because they are easier to understand. Don't stop posting, 👍
