Fully agree!!!! FYI. I have my account with a nickname + a protonmail that doesn't use my legal name ;) it works
I suspect they give you a custodial wallet with the account which is why they do this. If you give them fake id info you run the risk of them freezing your account. But, if you're just doing it to take a look around, seems fine.
