Hello,
I want to make a video about payment methods used when buying BTC in Peer-to-Peer markets, like lnp2pbot, Robosats, Hodl Hodl, etc.
There are many payment methods, but if you want to share the least amount of personal information, which method do you think is the best?
Popular Payment methods: Paypal, Wise, Revolut, Bizum, MBWAY, Instant Sepa, Binance Pay, stable coins, PIX, Zelle, Amazon Gift Card, etc.
I know that for face-to-face transactions, CASH IS KING, but this scenario is not very likely to happen.
What payment method do you consider the most private, besides cash?, why?
Thanks!
Every country has their own best method, as far as I know, for example in Spain Halcash it's a great way.

Bitwage is a good service, but is not a P2P market for buying or selling BTC. Also, you need to share all your personal data in order to use the service.

Thanks for sharing.
Question: I am assuming:
fill in the personal data,
that you mention in your guide is KYC information (name, address, etc..) that many sites require. Is that your experience with Bitwage?
reply
Yes is KYC. But is an easy start to "be paid in BTC". For freelancers working remote or abroad is a nice an easy way to get directly BTC into your own wallet. Keep in mind: the IBAN is not in your name, is in Bitwage name. Is a good decoy.
I was a Bitwage user from the beginning, in 2015. Worked for me perfectly fine. ofc starting with 2018 I didn't use it too much, just sporadically because I start being paid directly in BTC. But when I deal with clients that (still) do not have BTC to pay me, I just send them my Bitwage details and done. No big deals.

Do you have any experience with Bitpay?
I'm looking for a bitcoin BillPay service in America, and they seem to be the only ones....
Right now I'm getting my direct deposit in bitcoin through cash app, looking to transition to using my node as my main checking account.

Never used Bitpay and will never use it. They should not exist. They are the enemies of bitcoin! Boycott them ! Here is a list https://darth-coin.github.io/beginner/pay-with-bitcoin-en.html
IMHO the best way to pay bills with BTC is to have a pre-coiner friend that pays for you the fiat bills and you give him sats.

22 sats \ 1 reply \ @mo 9 Oct
In this way feels like you just pass the responsibility to pay with dirty fiat to someone else. There are other ways to pay bills does it matter if you own or rent, is just question to learn how.
reply
In some way you help your friend to get rid of his fiat and get sats and in the same time you do not touch fiat (forced to sell sats for fiat and use a bank acc).

Sprintz finance looks ok, but has way too much crypto stuff for me to feel comfortable using them.
I could use my wife, but It would be be better if she joined me on a bitcoin standard.......might just use my wife until better solutions come about.

Azteco vouchers is ideal for privacy. No kyc
reply
I use PayPal, which is less than ideal but these are funds I get from overseas that I don't want to bother bringing back into my country and hold in my local 3rd world shitcoin
Sometimes If I do find local orders, i'll use cash/send instant money, its like a voucher code you can redeem at ATMs in South Africa

Can Paypal reverse a money transfer?
reply
Yes if you're using standard paypal transfers, but no P2P trader would accept that, they will only accept the friends or family transfer which cannot be reversed
I've had many P2P scammers try to abuse this system, where they will claim I can refund the paypal myself and I should cancel the Bitcoin escrow, but only they can refund a Friends and Family Transfer, lol so I just let it ride let the moderator release the coins
I've been flagged on a few scammer chats with my various nyms so scammers won't often do business with me, and let me scalp those low premium or below market sales

I think BISQ is the most common decentralized P2P exchange.
In Brazil, it is common to use direct bank transfers (PIX or TED).
reply
Is PIX or TED instant transfer?, can this transfer be reversed?, what personal data is send to the receiver of the funds? Obrigado!
reply
Yes, PIX and TED are instant transfer an cannot be reversed. If you use the 'chave aleatória', only that random string and your name is shared with the receiver. In TED, your name, bank, branch and account are shared.

Buying physical Gift Card in cash is the most private I have found.
An alternative is to mine BTC yourself. This can be fairly private also.
