I recently discovered this guy who makes videos for YouTube traveling to incredible places and talking about complicated situations. His channel is called "Project Happiness"
I leave the link to the video for anyone who wants to see it. https:youtu.beGzCB_4JzJIw?si=udxEgY0419T2G-sR
I had never heard of PAG PAG in my life. I live in South America and I have honestly seen many levels of poverty, many!! I have seen all kinds of things in Venezuela, Colombia, the Dominican Republic or Peru, which are the places where I have lived. But I had never seen anything similar to this. This PAG PAG is prepared with the leftovers left by people in the main restaurant chains, such as KFC or McDonald's. Garbage collectors šŸ—‘ļø collect both recyclable products such as plastic or paper to get money. But additionally, they also collect the leftover food left by consumers in restaurant chains, and then, after filling a plastic bucket of approximately 8 liters, sell it for a price of $1.80.
These leftovers that come in these plastic buckets are washed to be seasoned and finally fried to sell in the restaurants of the town of "Tongo", a highly poor sector in the Philippines.
I must honestly say that this has surprised me a lot. I am not a wealthy person, there are even months when it is difficult to pay the bills, but fortunately I always have freshly prepared food at home and a small roof over my head, since I live with my wife and daughter in a fairly small place. But observing these other realities, I understand how lucky I am to be able to feed my family and, above all, how lucky I am to discover bitcoin and this type of community like SN that allows me to learn and generate value to get closer to my goals and dreams every day.
Something that seems simple but in many places is not possible, I live every day with the hope that thanks to Bitcoin I can achieve my goals, bitcoin is the only vehicle capable of helping us, ordinary human beings of humble origin and with little income capacity, to overcome ourselves.
Thank you for reading, follow the orange light šŸŠ it is the only hope that we can embrace and strengthen. šŸ’ŖšŸ¤ āš”šŸŠ

I just watched the video, I was eating when I did it and I couldn't help but feel a kind of guilt and at the same time nausea. I am a complainer, sometimes with reason and other times I just don't know, when in reality I should be thankful every day for my life, for my family. Sometimes we pigeonhole ourselves in our problems until you fall into the harsh reality that not everyone has the same fortune as us, it hurts me a lot when I see these situations and being with my hands tied without being able to help. I have a huge doubt, how much knowledge about bitcoin can reach these places?
reply
Unfortunately I don't think that many people in these places šŸ‘„ will ever get to know the hope that Bitcoin offers
reply
Certainly many times we complain about how little we have, without realizing that in other latitudes there are worse situations than ours. Bitcoin is and will be our refuge in any situation, which has allowed us to wake up from the fallacy of fiduciary money.
reply
Exactly, well said... we must avoid complaining about little things, and study or travel the world to learn about and understand other realities that allow us to better assimilate our own reality.

Pagpag is the Tagalog term for leftover food from restaurants (usually from fast food restaurants) scavenged from garbage sites and dumps. Pagpag food can also be expired frozen meat, fish, or vegetables discarded by supermarkets and scavenged in garbage trucks where this expired food is collected.
reply
Exactly... all the waste is collected and then cooked again to be consumed for breakfast in these low-income neighborhoods. I sincerely thank šŸ™ the universe for my almost infinite possibilities compared to those of these people from this place
