After reading this article (link at the bottom) it’s becoming clear to me that we already have a cbdc: the current system.
For the most part the system can censor and track what you spend - granted it is missing the programmability part - especially for government handouts that have conditions applied - but nonetheless many of the reasons I worried about the cbdc I forgot were present , here, right now.
So the question becomes; Why do they want a cbdc then? What do they want that they don’t already have? Attack cash is what. Cash has no taxes applied, zero monitoring, peer to peer, usable with no internet. The gov. doesn’t like this in our technocratic world. Full control is what it enables.
I urge you to use cash more, ensure there is demand for this antiquated freedom tech, stack and be vocal about resisting the incoming cbdcs.
I don’t really understand the idea of CBDCs either, except to just have a programmable money that’s explicitly not interchangeable with cash and that is designed from the ground up to allow for government intrusions and controls.
Why would anyone want that? The true shitcoin. Worse than f***ing doge

The way they will get most people is out of convenience, you see the proliferation of payWave payments - not because people didn’t have a card in their pocket that needed 4 numbers punched in - but because of thoughtless convenience.
I believe they start the whole ball rolling by making you sign up for the cbdc to get your government handout - no cbdc , no benefit payout. Need a cbdc to pay taxes for businesses, need a cbdc to pay your local rates etc.

If CBDC actually gets released, watch the price of Bitcoin skyrocket.

And the ability to purchase Bitcoin with said cbdc diminish very quickly. Stack hard now!

Just say, “NO” and use cash at all times. When they start switching over, silver and gold will work very well. I assume that they will try to smother any of their electronic competitors by whatever means necessary. The important point here is to use their fiat wherever you can at all times. You cannot let the shops and businesses reject fiat as a means of exchange because they will try to get the legal tender laws repealed. If that happens the sh*t will hit the fan. They want full tyrannical control of each and every facet of your life. Do you think there are any other ways to negate their CBDC dreams?
reply
Yep 100% use cash as often as possible - but how to pay business taxes / property taxes etc. I believe they will start at the governmental interaction level slowly proliferating towards how the government pays out benefits etc.
Honestly I don’t think we avoid this - unless you move countries or slip through the cracks by getting other people to transact with - say - the government on your behalf

To pay those taxes to the government, I would buy bags and bags full of pennies and dump them off at the taxiing authority’s front door and call the taxes as paid! Pennies are legal tender! THEY made the legal tender laws, so let them live with them, too.

It's time for bartering now
