After reading this article (link at the bottom) it’s becoming clear to me that we already have a cbdc: the current system.
For the most part the system can censor and track what you spend - granted it is missing the programmability part - especially for government handouts that have conditions applied - but nonetheless many of the reasons I worried about the cbdc I forgot were present , here, right now.
So the question becomes; Why do they want a cbdc then? What do they want that they don’t already have?
Attack cash is what. Cash has no taxes applied, zero monitoring, peer to peer, usable with no internet. The gov. doesn’t like this in our technocratic world.
Full control is what it enables.
I urge you to use cash more, ensure there is demand for this antiquated freedom tech, stack and be vocal about resisting the incoming cbdcs.
