I took this photos a few days ago for my friend's birthday, they turned out so beautifully that I couldn't resist sharing them with you!
For these photos, my friend wore a stunning black dress that hugged her curves, really accentuating her figure. It also made a great contrast against the background, perfect for black and white photography!
We started with some standing shots, using a pose that held special meaning for her. She told me she does it every year on her birthday.
Then we took some photos where she's crouched down. Even though we took tons of pictures, these two were our favorites:
For all the photos, I used my Canon RP camera with a 50mm f/2.8 lens and a speedlite flash with a 50cm octabox. Lately,
I've been enjoying using a single light source to preserve some shadows and add more depth to the photos.
We moved on to some photos with the cake, since the whole reason for this photoshoot was her birthday. These photos turned out gorgeous!
In the end, both my friend and I were super excited about the results we got. I hope you like the photos as much as we do!
