What do you think about Ross Ulbricht and Aaron Swartz? In my opinion, they can be named in the same sentence with the people you mentioned.

There is something not right about Snowden. He has too much mainstream acceptance, and they even made a movie about him. Controlled opposition? Not sure, but I don't trust any of it.
Not in the same league as Assange.
