I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11
PRAYER OF THE DAY
Oh God, source of all wisdom and truth, as we begin this new day, we seek your presence and guidance. Grant us the grace to hide your words in our hearts, as instructed in Psalm 119:11. May your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us in each step we take throughout this day.
Lord, we recognize that amidst the distractions and temptations of the world, it is easy to stray from your commandments. We humbly ask that you help us to hide your word in our hearts, that it may be our compass, always directing us to your path of love, justice, and peace.
May Your word inspire and strengthen us, enabling us to live according to Your teachings, even in the face of adversity and challenges that we may face. Help us to see beyond appearances and discern Your will in every situation.
Lord, may Your word be a source of comfort in times of anguish, a source of hope in times of discouragement, and a source of joy in times of celebration. May it transform our hearts, renewing our minds and guiding our actions.
Give us, O God, the discipline and determination necessary to study and meditate on Your word daily, so that we may grow in knowledge and in communion with You. May Your word be the solid foundation upon which we build our lives, firm and unshakable even in the face of life’s storms.
For all this, we thank You, O God, and we praise You for granting us Your word as a guide and comfort on our journeys. May we live each day in communion with You, nourishing ourselves with Your word and sharing Your love with everyone around us.
Amen.
