Most folks in the comments seem convinced it was a meteor. We just went through the tail of one comet, [Draconid](https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/everything-you-need-to-know-draconid-meteor-shower/) is the name of the shower, and will be seeing [Orionids](https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/everything-you-need-to-know-orionid-meteor-shower/) soon.
