Set to open in late 2026, the 98,000ft² facility will foster interdisciplinary creative thinking and learning within the university.
PSU College of the Arts dean Leroy Bynum Jr said: “The new light-filled classrooms, studios and galleries will provide inspiring places for students, faculty and the public to engage in art experiences, and allow our school to strengthen and expand programmes at the intersection of industry, sustainability, culture and creative practice.”
The capital project has been financially underpinned by $81.6m in public bonds sanctioned by the Oregon Legislature, supplemented by a targeted $8.7m from private philanthropy.

What's kicked off all the mass timber projects? Was there a breakthrough in treating wood or just shift in values/fashions?

Wow! It's a great idea to make it out of wood! And it's also a very large university! I would like to see more pictures of its interior facilities later on 👍
