The exasperating thing about parenting is that because it is a low-time preference endeavour, you never really know if you are on the right track and doing the right thing.
Today, my wife inexplicably fell sick. Which meant that she couldn’t cook dinner. So, I resorted to takeout meals. I ordered pizza and takoyaki for my boy.
He ate one takoyaki and shifted his attention to the pizza. He then took a crayon and asked me to spell certain words because he wanted to leave a message for his mum.
He intended to leave the remaining takoyaki for her. Such a sweet gesture.
I think we may be on the right track.
That's wonderful. When kids are brought up well they are generous and caring in nature.

Empathy is connection. Life is beautiful when we feel connected.

And connections are a good defence mechanism against anxiety n depression!

Low time preference it is. The lower the time preference, the greater the reward long term.

Gotta explain why you spent 0.1 BTC to maintain this territory. Thanks ☺️

For me, there is no better feeling than, something I did as a parent has paid off. Keep your eyes open. Signs are everywhere. Even just the fact that you share here. Good stuff. 💚
