It was when the batshit insane NCOs boasted that our headquarter could take a nuclear hit at 400 yards and still stay operational that I realized that I was caught up in a dangerous death cult!

Especially since this was the end of the Cold War, it was very real, but not as real as now of course...

Oh well, I did get to create a lot of mayhem the rest of my time there, in some ways I became Rebel Nomad even then ;-)
